MUNCIE - Muncie Pride was a coming out festival in downtown Muncie...
Saturday for members of the local gay and lesbian community and their families. 'You don't know how hard it is ... in a small town if your child is gay,' said Phil Davis, a Ball State University student. 'It's all over.' Derick McKeighn, who works at a local restaurant, said it was very difficult to come out more than 20 years ago when people were less accepting of same-sex life styles." |
